Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 2, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information MeterToFeets (“we”, “us”) collects when you use metertofeets.com (the “Site”), and how that information is used. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described below.
1. The short version
Every conversion on MeterToFeets runs locally in your browser. The numbers you type into a converter are never sent to our servers, never stored in a database, and never shared with anyone — we simply have no record of them. We don’t require an account, a login, or any personal details to use any tool on this Site.
2. Information we do not collect
We do not ask for, and do not knowingly collect:
- Your name, email address, or any account credentials (we don’t have accounts).
- The values you type into any converter or calculator.
- Payment information of any kind — the Site is free and has no checkout.
3. Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically logs basic technical information for every visit — such as IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, and the pages you view — for security and performance monitoring. We may also use privacy-respecting analytics tools (for example, to see which converter pages are popular) that report aggregated, anonymized usage patterns rather than information that identifies you personally.
4. Cookies and local storage
MeterToFeets uses your browser’s local storage for one purpose only: remembering whether you prefer light or dark mode, so the Site opens in your preferred theme next time you visit. This preference is stored only on your own device and is never transmitted to us. If the Site ever displays advertising or third-party embeds in the future, those providers may set their own cookies under their own privacy policies; this page will be updated to reflect that before it happens.
5. Third-party links
Some pages on the Site may link to external resources (for example, standards bodies referenced for a conversion factor). We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of any third-party site you reach through such a link.
6. Children’s privacy
MeterToFeets is a general-audience reference tool and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in how the Site operates. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
8. Contact us
